Roberts began writing for television in 2008 as a staff writer for the first season of Breaking Bad. The first season writing staff were nominated for the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award for best new series at the February 2009 ceremony.[1][2][3] Roberts returned as a story editor for the second season and wrote the season premiere "Seven-Thirty-Seven"[4] and co-wrote the episode "Peekaboo"[5] with series creator and executive producer Vince Gilligan. The second season writing staff were nominated for the WGA award for best drama series at the February 2010 ceremony for their work on the second season.[6]
